Chaaminda Weerakoon Managing Director BSc. Eng (Hons), PG. DIP (Struct. Eng.Design), PG. DIP (Const. Mgt.), C. Eng, MIE (SL), MSSE (SL), M. CONS. E (SL) Member- Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka-From 2007 Member- Society of Structural Engineers, Sri Lanka- From 2008 Member- Association of consulting Engineers, Sri Lanka-From 2008 Chaaminda Weerakoon obtained his first degree from University of Peradeniya specialized in Civil Engineering in 2000, and carries a current experience of over 20 years in the field of Civil Engineering in Sri Lanka. He obtained his Post Graduate diploma in Construction Management on 2010 from the Open University of Sri Lanka, Post Graduate Diploma in Structural Engineering Design on 2011 from University of Moratuwa Sri Lanka. He founded EDIFICE Consultants in 2007 as a partnership with colleague Chartered Engineers Gihan Chathuranga and Nuwan Bandaranayake bringing in over 13 years’ post qualification experience in as at the time in High – rise, Hotel/Resort, Commercial and Industrial projects. Salient projects are Destiny Tower mixed Development project, Sea breeze apartments Wadduwa, Double tree by HILTON at Weerawila, Underground structures for A380 airbus loads and INTZ type water tank at BIA Extension Project, Marina Square Colombo (local consultant) and Osaka Heights apartments Nugegoda. He has experience working in leading government and private organizations among many other projects, Kerawalapitiya 300MW CCPP, Defense Headquarters – Akuregoda, Postal Headquarters building and Colombo – Matara Railway development project in the capacity of a Project Manager.
